Connaire Moorcroft is a multidisciplinary designer based in the United Kingdom. Since graduating from Newcastle University, he's been mostly working freelance, with projects centred around brand identity, digital design, advertising and fashion.
Taking a research based approach to his practice; he often explores philosophy, semiotics and design context. This thorough and calculated approach can best be seen in the works displayed in his portfolio, where decisions and processes for important design choices have been highlighted. It's also been commended by his attainment of the Scott Award for Outstanding Creativity, presented for his Goosbey label.
In 2019, after completing A-Levels in Graphics, Photography and Sociology, Connaire founded Goosbey: A platform where his passions for design, writing and fashion united together. This involved 8 commission works, 7 collaboration projects and 3 fashion seasons (34 garment designs, 5 accessories, 3 lookbooks and 2 magazines). Products were silkscreened at Europe's most sustainable printing studio and were all organic/recycled or FSC-Certified. 5% of profits were donated to the Climate Outreach charity. Business trained through The Prince's Trust Explore Enterprise Scheme, he won their Start Up funding/mentorship and has been presented as a leading young design entrepreneur on BBC Radio Humberside.
